Leanne Balaly (Kimmel), obtained her Bachelor of Science Honors degree at the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2010. Leanne has been in practice for the past 13 years and has been specializing in the medico-legal Industry for the past 8 years. Leanne Balaly Occupational Therapy specializes in conducting medico-legal Occupational Therapy Assessments for Legal Firms across the Western Cape as well as Functional Capacity Evaluations for Insurance and Corporate companies around South Africa.
Leanne’s passion lies in consulting with claimant’s who have sustained orthopedic, neurological and spinal cord injuries as well as claimants who suffer from musculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and amputations. Leanne has vast experience in the assessment of psychiatric conditions namely Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Mood Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Substance Abuse Disorders. In addition Leanne has conducted multiple assessments for children above the age of 12 years old, who suffer from a physical impairment/injury.
Leanne’s private practice is based in the Equinox Building on the Atlantic Seaboard, in the heart of the Mother City with panoramic views of Lions Head.
The practice is fully equipped with physical and cognitive assessment tools to holistically assess each claimant in order to compile comprehensive reports to all our clients.
Leanne has partnered with two highly qualified biokineticists at the practice, which will assist with optimally managing our claimant’s physical conditions should the need or want arise.
